About Us

Since 1973, advocating for seniors, their families, and caregivers across Kane, Kendall, and McHenry counties.

Our Story

Trusted by more than 36,000 seniors and families each year.

Since 1973, our agency has been advocating for seniors, their families, and caregivers. As an Area Agency on Aging (AAoA) member agency, our highly trained staff and dedicated volunteers provide services to adults 60 years old or better who live in Kane, Kendall, and McHenry counties.

In 2012 our by-laws were amended to allow services to persons age 18 to 59 in response to being asked to administer the Veterans Intervention Program (VIP), which provides needed services to veterans of all ages. In 2014 services to this age group were expanded to include Information and Assistance, Adult Protective Services, and Nursing Home and Community Ombudsman.

We are happy to refer those living outside of our service area to an appropriate AAoA nearest them. Designated by the Federal Older Americans Act and the Illinois Department on Aging, we help seniors and their families access the benefits and programs they are eligible for. Our goal is to link seniors with resources that help them live the highest quality of life possible in their own homes for as long as is safely manageable, and to support families in making choices when other options must be considered.

Our Mission

Independence, dignity, and lifelong well-being.

Senior Services Associates is committed to enriching the lives of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their care partners by providing comprehensive services that support independence, dignity, respect, and lifelong well-being.

Our Vision

A better quality of life at every stage.

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults, care partners, and individuals with disabilities, today and throughout every stage of their lives.
